Our Top Five Blog Posts of 2013

Our Top Five Blog Posts of 2013!Welcome to 2014! We trust that you enjoyed the holidays and that you are ready to make this your best year yet! To help you get a jumpstart on your goals in the New Year, here is a list of our Top Five Blog Posts from 2013. We trust that the information and inspiration they contain will help fuel your passion and determination.

Interesting to note that #5 on our list – The Best New Year’s Resolution Ever – was published on December 29th and ranked very close behind the other four posts! As a matter of fact, this entry tied for first place for most views on our blog on a single day!

Here are our top five! Enjoy!

1. Successful People Make Things Happen!

“There are people who make things happen, they are people who watch things happen, and there are people who wonder what happened. To be successful, you need to be a person who makes things happen.” ~James Lovell

Successful people are a catalyst. They make things happen. Driven by passion and fuelled by their dreams, they are determined to take action and make a difference. They are not content to sit idle or procrastinate. Read more here…

2. Successful People Focus on Solutions!

Every time you face a challenge or a problem in your business or personal life, you have an important choice to make: you can choose to focus on the problem or the solution. Focusing on the problem rarely helps matters. Instead, it only wastes your time and energy. Your problem is a reality that is unlikely to go away no matter how hard you ruminate. Since that’s the case, it’s better (and way more productive) to focus on the solution instead. Read more here…

3. Seven Powerful Questions to Get You Unstuck!

Are you stuck? It happens to all of us. Even the most talented, knowledgeable, and experienced professionals have “been there.” If you’re part of the human race, the question is not IF you get stuck, but WHEN! “I feel stuck. How do I get my stride back?” “I’m in a rut, and don’t know how to get out!” “I don’t know what to do. I feel frozen.” Sound familiar? Read more here…

4. Successful People Take Risks!

Risk-takers are a different breed. They live in the realm of possibility. They are not afraid to live beyond the boundaries and to colour outside the lines. To them, there is no such thing as failure; only experiments that didn’t work! Risk-takers are marked by a sense of adventure and passion. They care little for the accolades of the crowd. They are more focused on squeezing everything they can out of every moment. They are not afraid to “boldly go where no one has gone before.” Read more here…

5. The Best New Year’s Resolution Ever!

New Year’s Resolutions… Although your intentions are noble, your follow through often lacks the teeth required to make lasting changes. Before long, you fall back to your old ways, and find yourself way off course. The stuff you should do would lead to the changes that you seek, but the stuff you actually do (your habits) keeps you stuck in mediocrity. Read more here…

  1. These are excellent reminders, and even though they’re from 2013, I’ll be dragging them through 2014 with me!

I need to keep in mind #3—”Successful people take risks.” My gut instinct is to always work twice as hard, in order to minimize the risk in any activity… but sometimes you can’t do that. Sometimes you just have to roll the dice.

Maybe that will be one of my goals in 2014…!

    • Thanks for the great comments Matt! Playing it safe comes naturally to all of us! But here’s to going out on a limb in 2014! Remember… That’s where the fruit is! Happy New Year!
